| As a freelance photographer based in Brooklyn, New York, I’m fortunate to be at the nexus of so many talented dancers, choreographers, actors, artists, entrepreneurs and designers. Capturing their work is my work.
I shoot dance, portrait, and event photography, with a journalistic approach to finding the authentic, unscripted moments of creative people. I strive to capture the movement, personality, and energy of my subjects with a sense of humor and attentiveness. I am the staff photographer for Degree Dance Collective, a New York non-profit providing performance space, master classes, and business clinics to rising dance professionals. In this role, I capture the dynamism and social experience of up-and-coming choreographers and performers in the New York and Brooklyn dance scene. In addition to Degree Dance Collective, my clients include Primer Magazine, the Interdependence Project, and numerous performers and creative professionals. I graduated from New York University in 2007 with a degree in English and Creative Writing. I am currently working on a series entitled American Buddhists (In their Natural Habitat).
